I’ve been struggling for two days with my display proposal, to be read by the curating jury of Made Here Minnesota.
“Curating jury”. That sounds grand and scary.
Not to my five-year-old son, who, of course, has answers to all their questions.
1 : Describe what a pedestrian would experience by stopping to look at your display.
“Wow, somebody stuffed a whole lot of paper balloons in there!”
2 : What would they see there ?
“Gobs and gobs of paper balloons.”
3 : What are the desired outcomes ?
“People will see you can fold more paper balloons than anyone else in the whole universe.”
4 : How does your showcase bring to life the theme, Energy?
“The little Christmas lights you put in the bigger balloons, they look like a head that shines when there is electricity in it because you have an idea. That’s energy.”
Wait… what ???
For those who are wondering, he is talking about that :
As tempted as I am to use his delightful answers in my application, I think I’m going to work on my own version a bit more tonight.
Ah… To be five…
